Liverpool receive boost as Euro giants accept they are unlikely to sign star man
Liverpool star Emre Can continues to be linked with a summer exit despite Jurgen Klopp ruling out a move.
Klopp has made it clear he does not want to sell the midfielder of Turkish origin.
Can meanwhile has underlined that he will remain at the Reds next season.
“It’s a big season [for me] and I think it’s a big season for the team as well,” he told the club’s website.
“Last season we did quite well but we could do better, so we will try to do it better this year and push on.
“Myself, I want to push on as well and I want to have good confidence and play a good season.”
Despite recent comments made by Klopp and Can, Juventus are still reported to be pushing for a move.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Can is still one of three transfer priorities for Juve.

Per the source, PSG star Matuidi, Sevilla’s N’Zonzi and Can are the three players the Serie A outfit have their eye on.
Guardian football editor Marcus Christenson has however, revealed that Juve CEO Beppe Marotta has admitted they are unlikely to sign Can.

The problem with Can is that he has under 12 months left on his contract but has yet to sign a new deal.
The Reds could end up losing the 23-year-old on a free transfer in six-months if he does not sign an extension.
