Liverpool Receive Transfer Boost After Reports Emerge That Man United Have Not Agreed Deal With £35m Brazilian Target

Manchester United have been closely linked with a move for Anderson Talisca following reports emerging in the Italian and Turkish press.

O Jogo reported that the Red Devils are preparing a £35 million offer for Talisca and that he is keen on the move.

Turkish journalist Firat Gunayer meanwhile, claimed that United actually have a deal in place with the player but have yet to agree terms with his parent club Benfica.

“Talisca has signed a preliminary protocol with Manchester United,” Gunayer said. “Benfica, however, has not yet agreed with the British club.”

After speaking with Besiktas, Turkish-Football understands that Talisca does not actually have a deal in place with United.

The club denied that the Red Devils were the side head coach Senol Gunes was alluding to when he said Talisca agreed terms with another club in January.

The Black Eagles do maintain that the Brazilian will be joining a Premier League side.

Besiktas do still have the option to sign Talisca on a permanent deal for £16m.

The Istanbul giants are considering signing the 1.91m tall attacker and selling him on for a profit.

The latest development will come as a boost for Liverpool who have also been linked with Talisca.

Interestingly enough Liverpool FC put a transfer story from Goal linking Talisca with a move to the club on their official website media page.

The fine print does however, state that the story ‘does not necessarily represent the position of Liverpool football club’.

The 24-year-old scored 20 times and provided eight assists in all competitions for the Eagles this season.

Talisca played a key role in Besiktas lifting the league title last season and cruising through the 2017-18 Champions League group stage.
