Liverpool Receive Transfer Boost After Brazil International Rejects Valencia Move, Besiktas Step Up Efforts

Liverpool received a transfer boost in their efforts to sign Anderson Talisca after he rejected a move to Valencia.

A source close to Besiktas revealed to Turkish-Football that Talisca has no intention of joining Los Che.

The Black Eagles feel they can beat Valencia in the race to clinch the Brazil international on a permanent move.

The Istanbul giants are however, concerned that Liverpool are keeping tabs on the 24-year-old.

The reigning Super Lig champions would struggle to keep Talisca at the club if the Reds come knocking at the end of the season.

There have been no official offers received for Talisca but Besiktas do expect interest to increase towards the end of the season.

The problem Besiktas face is that despite being into his second season at the club, Talisca is on loan from Benfica.

The Black Eagles must sign Talisca on a permanent deal from the Portuguese giants if they want to keep him on beyond the end of the season.

They do have a €21 million buyout clause option which remains active until the end of the campaign.

Should Besiktas not activate the clause Talisca’s price is likely to skyrocket as Benfica have increased their valuation since last summer.

The 1.91m tall attacking midfielder played a key role in Besiktas winning the league title last season and has 17 goals this term – including four in the Champions League.
