Galatasaray received a transfer boost in their pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic after Torino had an offer rejected according to Goal.
Per the source, the Serie A giants failed to sign the Serbia international on a season-long loan after trying to include a £9m option to make the move permanent next summer.
The Reds reportedly value Grujic as being worth double the fee offered.
Liverpool also want the midfielder to sign a contract extension before they consider a temporary move.
Turkish-Football have reported Galatasaray as expressing an interest in signing the Serbia midfielder.
The Lions have made signing a central midfielder a priority over the summer and would be able to offer Champions League football this term.
Unlike Torino, the Super Lig outfit would be prepared to loan Grujic without pushing for a buyout clause option to be included.
Galatasaray are under pressure from Financial Fair Play (FFP) to curb spending and would be willing to sign Grujic to fill in the gaps for a season.
The reigning league champions already signed Everton youngster Henry Onyekuru on loan this summer and head coach Fatih Terim has been giving the Nigeria international playing time.
