Liverpool Reveal Squad Ahead Of Roma Clash – Klopp Receives Defensive Boost As Star Man Returns

Liverpool take on Roma in the Champions League semi-final first-leg clash at Anfield on Tuesday.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp received great news on the injury front heading into the game.

Nathaniel Clyne is back in training, the defender is unlikely to start but is likely to be on the bench after making the squad.

Clyne missed the 2-2 draw against West Brom in the Premier League on Saturday but has since recovered from a muscle injury.

Alexander-Arnold was rested against the Baggies and is expected to start.

Klopp dropped five key names from the starting line-up against West Brom but will welcome them back after naming all of them in the squad.

Dejan Lovren, Andrew Robertson, Roberto Firmino, Alexander-Arnold and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all make the cut.

The return of Lovren will be a huge boost as he was a doubt.

The Serbia international has struck up a solid defensive partnership with Virgil Van Dijk at centre-back.

Klopp will be without star midfielder Emre Can.

The midfielder of Turkish origin is out with a back problem and is expected to miss the semi-final tie.

The Reds are also without Adam Lallana and Joel Matip through injury.
