Liverpool are set to hold crunch talks with Besiktas over the transfer of Domagoj Vida according to the Milliyet newspaper.
Per the source, Besiktas want in excess of €25m for the Croatia international centre-back.
The Reds, Everton and other unnamed Premier League sides are reported to have made offers for the 29-year-old.
Besiktas president Fikret Orman traveled to Russia on Sunday for the World Cup final where he met with Vida’s agent over a potential move.
The Reds are favorites to land the defender and the Black Eagles have given the green light to sell.
In fact the Istanbul based outfit are keen on getting the transfer completed before the end of July.
Besiktas are under pressure from Financial Fair Play to curb spending and the sale of Vida would ease concerns.
The Eagles signed Vida on a free transfer from Dynamo Kiev in January so a transfer would result in a healthy profit and release funds that can be reinvested in strengthening the squad.
Vida saw his value skyrocket over the World Cup. The powerful defender started alongside Dejan Lovren in every game at the tournament.

The Besiktas ace scored in the quarter-final against Russia in extra-time and the penalty shootout.
Vida also provided an assist in the 4-2 defeat against France in the final.
The centre-back still has another four-years remaining on his Besiktas contract and will stay on at the club should the Super Lig outfit fail to receive offers that match their asking price.
