Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca will board the next flight out of Lisbon set for Istanbul ahead of his loan move to Besiktas a source close to the player told Turkish-football.com.
Per the source, the 22-year-old will undergo his medical before joining on a loan deal. The details of the temporary move are unknown however, it is expected to have a buyout clause included.
The Brazil international is on the verge of joining Besiktas according to club president Fikret Orman.
“Talisca will join us next week, the transfer went ahead like planned,” Orman was quoted as saying by Turkish-football.com.
Besiktas managed to beat the likes of Liverpool and Wolves to his signature as Talisca is reported to have wanted to gain more Champions League experience this season.
The Reds were closely linked with the Brazilian midfielder and ready to pay £20 million for his services according to the Daily Star. The Sun meanwhile reported that Championship outfit Wolves were nearing a £20 million deal.
The young midfielder has earned himself the nickname, Yaya Talisca as a result of similarities in their physique and playing style.
