Liverpool are prepared to offload England international striker Daniel Sturridge this summer.
According to the Telegraph, the Reds striker has been transfer listed due to his high wages, injury record and age.
Per the source, Liverpool have set a £15 million price tag on the experienced striker.
The news will come as a major blow to Besiktas who have been closely linked with a move for the 28-year-old. The Black Eagles are being monitored by UEFA for Financial Fair Play.
Besiktas will also miss out on Champions League football next season after finishing the Turkish Super Lig in fourth place.
According to the Turkish outlet Star, Besiktas set aside just £4 million for Sturridge, £11 off Liverpool’s latest valuation.
However, Liverpool could end up pricing potential buyers out of making an offer seeing that Sturridge has just 12 months remaining on his contract.
The experienced striker scored just two Premier League goals this season in 15 appearances.
