Liverpool’s Emre Can could potentially be ruled out for the rest of the season according to the Liverpool Echo newspaper.
The report states that Can will undergo a scan to day to find out the full extend of his ankle injury.
The 22-year-old departed Anfield on crutches last night following his sides 4-3 win over Borussia Dortmund in the quarter finals of the in Europa League.
The former Bayer Leverkusen had his right ankle in a protective boot after he twisted it late in the second half. A scan will determine whether there is ligament damage.
Can played a major role in his sides victory and provided the assist for Liverpool’s opener when he played though a perfectly weighted pass to Derek Origi.
Can is ruled out for Liverpool’s clash with Bournemouth this weekend in the Premier League due to a suspended. The 22-year-old also missed last weekend’s win over Stoke City serving the same suspension.
