Liverpool star ‘agrees terms’ with Juventus before failing to make Chelsea clash

Liverpool star Emre Can is reported to have agreed terms with Italian giants Juventus according to Tuttosport.

The central midfielder is out of contract in the summer and can speak to non Premier League clubs directly in January unless a new agreement is struck.

Per the source, Juventus are prepared to offer Liverpool a fee to sign him in January but are also prepared to wait until the end of the season to snap him up on a free transfer.

Talks between Can’s representatives and Liverpool are believed to have broken down following the Reds refusal to insert a realistic buy-out clause into his contract.

Liverpool could end up losing Can for free despite his market value trembling since joining the Premier League side from Bayer Leverkusen.

The latest transfer report came out before the Chelsea clash today.

Can did not feature for the Reds in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea after being withdrawn from the squad due to injury.

Despite approaching the end of his contract head coach Jurgen Klopp has continued to keep faith in Can.

The 23-year-old midfielder has three goals and two assists in 17 appearances for Liverpool this season.
