Liverpool star makes strong accusation at Everton
Liverpool star Gigi Wijnaldum has accused Everton of being excessively aggressive during the Merseyside derby.
Liverpool came out 3-1 victors on Saturday but were on the wrong end of some heavy challenges.
Emre Can was singled out for some rough treatment. The Germany international was stamped on and received a heavy blow to his knee.
Ross Barkley could have seen red for his high tackle on Dejan Lovren.

“The tackles, especially those from the players from Everton made on our players, it was hard to see, hard to accept, because I think you can play the game really hard, but not with the intention to give someone an injury,” Wijnaldum told SkySports.
“For me, my opinion, that is a bad thing, because you have to play the game fair. Of course you can play hard, to win, but not to injure the player, because that’s not part of the game.
“I saw a few, even in the replay, I saw a few tackles that had to be red.”
However, the only player to come out with a long-term injury was Sadio Mane. The Senegal international fell awkwardly and suffered a knee injury in the process.
Liverpool remain in third place following their win over Everton. The Reds are six points clear of fifth placed Man United. The Red Devils do however have a game in hand.
