Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can’s future at the Merseyside based club is cast in doubt after failing to put pen-to-paper on a new deal.
The 24-year-old has under three months left on his contract and is free to hold talks with foreign clubs.
Can has been closely linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus in recent months. Talks between the two camps have taken place, however, the Germany international is yet to confirm with the Serie A giants he is ready to join.
According to the Former Napoli and Atlanta director of football, Pierpaolo Marino, Juventus are still in the dark regarding the transfer of Emre Can.
“Juventus have grown tired of waiting for a response from Emre Can,” Marino told RMC Sport.
“Juventus no longer want to wait [to see] if he is ready to wear the shirt.”
Can missed both legs of Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League win over Manchester City over the past week. The 24-year-old could end up missing the rest of the season due to a back injury.
Liverpool are back in action this weekend when they take on Bournemouth in the Premier League.
