Liverpool striker Samed Yesil features in 1-0 defeat to Grasshoppers

Liverpool striker Samed Yesil came on as a substitute in Luzurn’s 1-0 defeat to Grasshoppers over the weekend.

The 21-year-old dragon came on this 73rd minute of the game in place of Schneuwly. Yesil failed to find the back of the net in 17 minutes that he played. Luzern sit in second place with 19 points in 12 games following their defeat.

Yeşil joined Liverpool from the Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen 2012 for £1 million.

The Liverpool Echo states that the Merseyside club have decided to send the 21-year-old out to aid his development.

The young striker has featured for all of Germany’s youth teams from Under-16 to U19 and he is available also to play for the Turkish national team.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man scored three goals in his last two appearances for Liverpool U21’s during pre-season.
