Liverpool suffer major transfer blow as Brazil international nears move to Turkish giants Besiktas – Arsenal also interested

Brazil international midfielder Bernard has been closely linked with a move away from Shakhtar Donetsk this summer.

The 25-year-old has under three-months remaining on his contract with the Ukrainian side meaning he will be free to leave at the end of the season.

According to the Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Bernard is one of Jurgen Klopp’s top targets this summer. Per the source, Arsenal are also interested in signing the Brazilian star.

However, daily Turkish sports paper Fanatik claim that Besiktas are close to signing Bernard. The report states that the Black Eagles are in talks with Bernard’s representatives and that they are nearing a four-year agreement worth €3.5 million per season.
