Liverpool Suffer Transfer Blow Against Watford As Emre Can Is Forced Off

Liverpool suffered an injury blow in the first-half of their Premier League clash against Watford at Anfield Stadium.

Emre Can started the game but only lasted 27 minutes after picking up an injury.

The midfielder of Turkish origin was holding his back as he was taken off on a stretcher and replaced by James Milner.

Liverpool have not revealed the severity of the injury. The club are expected to release a statement at half-time or at the end of the game with an update.

Can has started the Reds last 13 games, playing an important role in Jurgen Klopp’s side this season.

Liverpool have a tough run of games after the international break with a Champions League Last 16 clash against Manchester City and the Merseyside derby against Everton so they will be hoping Can’s injury is not severe.

The 24-year-old has been in great form this season scoring a career-high six goals in all competitions.
