Arda Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut has told AS that his client wants to leave Spain this summer and join a Premier League club.
Bulut did however state that the 28-year-old’s €41 million release clause could prove to be a stumbling block for potential suitors.
“He intends to leave Spain this summer. It is his will to go out to play in the Premiership, that is where he would like to continue his career at this time,” Bulut told AS.
“His departure from Atletico is not easy because he has a clause of €41m. There are ongoing talks with three teams at the moment. I cannot say their names, but they are the best of England and European football.”
Liverpool were linked with a a €30 million move for Arda back in March by the Express.
The 28-year-old became the first Turkish born player to win the La Liga as Atleti won their first league title since 1996 last season.
The Turkish international was also part of the team that reached the Champions League final last season.
Arda made 46 appearances for Atletico Madrid in all competitions this season.
