Liverpool star Emre Can has admitted that he may struggle to break back into the first team according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Germany international heaped praise on Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum stating that they worked very well together. The trio are currently keeping Can out of the starting line-up however, the 22-year-old said that he is happy his teammates are performing well.
“Adam, Hendo and Gini have played well together and you can see by the results and the good football – I saw it as well myself as I play with them in the team and I was very happy for them.
“We bought very good players and we have a strong squad. If you saw the last few games we were very strong and we have to keep it up. If you play with good players the levels go up, it is normal.
“We want to keep the momentum going and we want to win the game.”
Can had recovered from injury ahead of the Chelsea clash last week but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klop decided to rest the Germany international of Turkish origin.
Klopp also decided to leave Can out of the Derby County game earlier this week, considering he picked up his last injury in the same competition against Burton Albion last month.
Liverpool take on the newly promoted Hull City this weekend in the Premier League. The Reds have scored nine goals in their last three fixtures while conceding only two goals.
In other Liverpool team news Loris Karius made his debut against Derby County but is unlikely to replace Simon Mignolet in goal for the Premier League clash against Hull City.
