Liverpool Team News: Jurgen Klopp Faces Tough Decision Whether To Rotate Squad Against Southampton

Liverpool take on Southampton on the road hoping to keep an impressive run that has seen them lose just one of their last 17 Premier League games alive.

The Reds were held to a 2-2 draw against Tottenham last week despite going ahead twice over the course of the 90 minutes.

Southampton meanwhile beat West Brom 3-2 last weekend to end a 12 game winless run.

Liverpool have been in pretty good form, are fourth in the league table but Jurgen Klopp will have one eye on the Champion League Last 16 first-leg clash against Porto just three days after the Saints clash.

Klopp faces a tough decision over whether to rotate players ahead of the Southampton game without jeopardizing the side in their bid for a top-four finish.

The German manager will have Adam Lallana available after he did not receive an FA ban after being sent off for Reds Under-23s against Tottenham.

Klopp has further good news on the injury front as Joe Gomes and Ragnar Klavan near a recovery.

Nathaniel Clyne has however, been ruled out with a back injury.

The head coach may decide to keep Tren Alexander-Arnold at right-back and Gini Wijnaldum may be drafted into the midfield.

It remains to be seen whether Klopp will keep Emre Can as a started ahead of the Champions League clash.

The midfielder of Turkish origin has started his sides last eight league games despite reports that he could leave at the end of the season.
