Liverpool take on Manchester City at Anfield in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash on Wednesday.
The Reds will be hoping to defender a 17 game unbeaten home streak against the Citizens.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has delivered an update on his latest injury status.
It turns out Emre Can has not been ruled out after all, well not quite just yet.
Klopp revealed there is still hope the midfielder of Turkish origin could recover in time for the clash.
The German manager did however, state that it ‘doesn’t look too good’.

Klopp: “Emre (Can) there is still a chance for tomorrow but it doesn’t look too good. Klavan also not involved. If there is a centre-half in the room I am open for talks!”

Klopp also had an update on Joel Matip who he confirmed has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Joe Gomez is out for another two or three weeks so will miss the Merseyside derby and Ragnar Klaven is also out.
Klopp on Matip: “Joel was surprised, no one thought it would be this serious before he had the scan. Ragnar (Klavan) has no chance, we need to be sensible. Joe Gomez out for another 2 or 3 weeks.”
