Liverpool team news: Klopp receives massive injury boost, Emre Can faces uncertainty ahead of Everton derby
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was given an injury boost after receiving news that Jordan Henderson is nearing a recovery according to the Echo.
The Reds midfielder has missed the last month due to a foot injury but is targeting a return ahead of the Merseyside derby against Everton next week.
Per the source, Henderson will increase his workload over the next five days to demonstrate he is capable of coming back into the fold ahead of the derby.
Henderson was part of the Reds side that travelled to Tenerife for a warm weather training camp last week.
The return of the Liverpool captain could however, complicate matters for Klopp in midfield.
The Reds have put together an impressive run since Henderson’s injury beating Arsenal and holding Manchester City to a draw at the Etihad.
Germany international of Turkish origin Emre Can has filled in for Henderson since the injury.

Can has been enjoyed one of his best spells this season, scoring the winning goal in the 2-1 win against Burnley and starting every game since Henderson’s injury.
Klopp faces a difficult task over deciding whether to drop Can and bring Henderson back into the first-team if he does make a full recovery in time.
