Liverpool returns to the UEFA Champions League tonight as they look to extend their winning run of form.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have registered four victories in a row and already have a firm step in the quarter-finals following their 5-0 win against Porto in Portugal a fortnight ago.
Tonight’s encounter takes place at Anfield while kick-off is scheduled for 19:45 (GMT).
“We respect Porto too much and the competition too much to think about real rotation,” Klopp stated at the pre-game press conference.
“We will prepare ourselves for the game and we want to win the second half of the tie.
“If it is a different line-up to Saturday, it is only because we want to win. Maybe one, two, three changes but only to win the game.”
Liverpool team news:
Star midfielder Emre Can is available for selection after missing out on the first leg due to yellow-card a suspension.
Liverpool have all but qualified for the quarter-finals following their emphatic victory in the first leg which could lead to Klopp resting his rest top scorer Mohamed Salah.
Meanwhile, Nathaniel Clyne is out with a lower back injury and Georginio Wijnaldum is sidelined after picking up an illness.
Youngster Ben Woodburn is also ruled out of tonight’s game due to an injury.
