Henderson was dealt an injury blow during training on Friday and has not travelled with the squad to Leicester.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp faces less of a dilemma over who to pick in midfield following the injury.
Klopp has had his decision over whether to give Gini Wijnaldum or Emre Can a starting role easier as he could now play both.
It is however, worth noting that Wijnaldum suffered a blow to his thigh during training mid-week but the latest reports indicate that he is expected to be match fit for the Foxes clash.
Can has three goals and two assists in 27 appearances for the Reds in all competitions.
Only Origi, Wijnaldum, Clyne and Firmino have played in more games than the Germany international of Turkish origin this season.
Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva is now also in contention for a place in the midfield but he could also start as a centre-back with Dejan Lovren out with a knee problem.
England international striker Daniel Sturridge is also a doubt as he missed training mid-week due to having a virus.
