Liverpool team news: Klopp sweating over fitness of two stars ahead of Hoffenheim clash

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be sweating over the fitness of two star names ahead of the Reds clash with Hoffenheim.

The Merseyside based club host Hoffenheim at Anfield in the UEFA Champions League qualification clash on Wednesday.

Liverpool come into the game with a 2-1 advantage from the first leg following goals from James Milner and Alexander-Arnold.

Adam Lallana will miss the game as he continues his recovery from a thigh injury. The England international’s return has been delayed until December.

Star playmaker Phillipe Coutinho is a doubt going into Wednesday evening’s game. The Brazil international missed Liverpool’s opening three games due to a back-injury.

Coutinho is also the subject of interest from Barcelona. Liverpool recently turned down a third bid for their star playmaker from the La Liga giants.

Nathaniel Clyne is also a major doubt going into the mid-week clash.

Emre Can meanwhile started the weekend game on the bench after missing training on Thursday. The Germany international is however expected to be available for selection against Hoffenheim.
