Liverpool Team News: Star Midfielder Suffers Injury Blow, Ruled Out Of Spain Clash

Liverpool star Emre Can has been ruled out of the international friendly between Germany and Spain with a back injury.

Can pulled out of training with the Germany national side yesterday just 15 minutes into his session with the same problem.

The midfielder of Turkish origin had to be taken off in the 27th minute for Liverpool during the 5-0 win over Watford last weekend.

Can was expected to recover in time for the international games against Spain and Brazil.

BILD journalist Christian Falk has confirmed that Can will not feature against Spain tomorrow but may return in time for the Brazil game.

The latest development will come as a major blow to Can who is trying to secure a place in the squad for the World Cup in Russia.

The Liverpool star will be trying to convince the Germany national team manager to consider him for the tournament but he is not currently a first-choice option.

The 24-year-old did not feature last time around when Germany lifted the trophy in Brazil.

Can has been in impressive form for the Reds scoring a career-high six goals this season.
