Liverpool are preparing an improved offer for Besiktas star centre-back Domegoj Vida according to the latest reports in the Turkish press.
The Turkish outlet Fotomac claim that Liverpool are hoping they can use Simon Mignolet as part of a deal which will see Domagoj Vida arrive at Anfield this summer.
Per the source, the Reds are keen on a player plus cash deal for the Croatia international.
Meanwhile, the daily Turkish newspaper Fanatik claim that Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco have tabled a £26.7 million offer for Vida.
Vida has been closely linked with a move away from Besiktas following an impressive showing at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The 29-year-old helped lead Croatia to the World Cup final where they were defeated by France.
Besiktas picked up Vida for free back in January after his contract with Dinamo Kiev expired.
The powerful defender struggled to find his feet initially at Besiktas and picked up a red card against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.
Besiktas ended the season in fourth place which means they will miss out on Champions League football this term.
