Liverpool & Wolves Receive Transfer Boost After Reports Man United Have Not Made £35m Bid For Brazilian Attacker

Benfica attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca continues to be linked with a  summer exit.

The Brazilian spent two seasons on loan at Besiktas who still have a £16m buyout option.

Talisca has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Liverpool.

The speculation started when Besiktas manager Senol Gunes hinted Talisca would be making a Premier League move.

Talisca was already gone at the winter break, I can’t tell you which club he joined but they could play against Cenk’s team,” Gunes said after the 5-1 victory over Sivasspor.

This was followed by O Jogo claiming Manchester United were set to bid £35 million for the 1.91m tall star player.

Talisca then responded to a question in the Correio da Bahia asking whether links to Liverpool and United were true.

He said: “I would prefer a move to England, I love the fans, every match looks exciting.

“There is interest, there is but I have not reached an agreement yet, I can’t speak about the negotiations at this time.”

It now turns out that United have not made an offer and are not going to bid £35 million according to Portuguese publication the Record.

Per the source, the only certainty is that Talisca will not be a Benfica player next season.

The report did not dismiss Liverpool interest.

The latest development may come as a boost to the Reds but they have also been linked with Nabil Fekir who plays in a similar role.

The latest development will also come as a boost for Wolves who are also reported to be interested.

Just last week the Birmingham Mail – citing A Bola – reported Wolves will go head to head with Liverpool and United for Talisca.

It is worth mentioning that Besiktas manager Gunes said the powerful attacker won’t be joining Wolves.

When asked whether Talisca would be joining Wolves he responded: “Look higher.”

The newly promoted side do however, have close ties to Jorge Mendes who has worked with Talisca in the past.

Talisca scored 20 goals and provided eight assists for Besiktas this season.
