Liverpool transfer news: Euro Giants confirm interest in Reds contract rebel midfielder

Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can has attracted the attention of Euro giants Juventus following an impressive string of performances.

The 23-year-old helped Germany lift the Confederations Cup over the summer and netted a brace against Hoffenheim for the Reds in the Champions League.

Can was also the star of the show during Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Arsenal last weekend.

According to the Express, Juventus chiefs have confirmed their interest in signing Emre Can.

The Germany international – who has under 12 months remaining on his contract – could end up leaving Liverpool for free next summer.

Per the source, the Italian giants are hoping to discuss terms with Can in January.

Can is currently on international duty with the Germany national team.

Jurgen Klopp boss recently discussed Can’s contract. The German tactician admitted that the situation is not idea but remains hopeful of a new deal.

“We are still in talks [with Can]. Do I think it is too cool that we didn’t fix it so far? No, to be honest. But it is all ok at the moment and we have to take it like this,” Klopp was quoted as saying by the Independent.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star registered three assists and five goals in 40 appearances for Liverpool last season.
