Liverpool transfer news: Euro giants table third bid for £10m star forward Divock Origi

Turkish giants Fenerbahce have not given up hope of signing Liverpool striker Divock Origi.

According to the Turkish outlet Fotospor, Fenerbahce are keen to bolster their attacking options this summer.

Per the source, Fener have tabled a third loan bid for Origi and are awaiting a response from Liverpool.

However, during a recent interview, Origi appears to be happy at the Merseyside club.

“I’ve made steps and it’s [up to] me to keep progressing,” Origi told LiverpoolFC.com.

“I feel really good so I go into the season with a lot of excitement.

“I’m going to take it game by game, training session by training session, just trying to express myself and enjoy myself. When I enjoy the game, I always play good.

“I set personal targets, high targets—it’s always good to be very ambitious and tough on yourself, and I think that will push me to do well.”

Fenerbahce are keen to strengthen their squad this summer following a disappointing league campaign. The Yellow Canaries finished the season in third place and will miss out on UEFA Champions league football.

Origi made 43 apperances for Liverpool last season but managed to score just 11 goals.

The Reds are understood to be on the lookout for a new striker this summer – a move which could cast Origi’s future in doubt.

The Belgium international made the move to Liverpool from Ligue 1 side Lille for £10 million (BBC) back in 2014.

  1. I thought it was April’s Fool’s Day reading that Fenerbahce had put in an offer of £10M
For Young striker Origi !! I understand yet again it’s a Turkish side looking to pay Ridiculous Low offers for players but really
£10M for Origi that’s an insult and if I were Liverpool I wouldn’t even bother Replying to that offer and I’m 99.9% that Origi isn’t even on the list of Players that Klopp would consider to let go as Klopp has said on plenty of times that Origi has so much talent and promise and thats the type of player Klopp normally does his Magic with and turns them in to top class players and with the Prices of Players in this current transfer market being so inflated that it makes that
£10M offer look even worse !!! Klopp looks to be very busy this week with the possibility of New Arrivals coming in ? such as
Keita, Robertson for our trouble LB position but I would rather Klopp chase after Nice LB
Henrique Dalbert who has everything a LB needs such as Extreme Pace, V good tackler
Great Crosser, and can also score and yes you have to pay top £££ infact Nice wanted
€25M and yes Dalbert wants a move to Milan and where I think he will move to but really he’s the type of LB we Need and I am really concerned with Klopp signing Hulls
LB Andrew Robertson for £8M surely Klopp will continue to search for that Special LB that Ticks all the boxes… if anyone can tell me that I need not worry about Having Robertson as our LB please do as I see nothing special in this guy..

    • Even if Liverpool get Keita & Dijk they will still be short on top quality players to win the league or champions League. The Africa cup will take at lease 2 of there best players away for several weeks. Depth of squad is important to. All top teams have top quality players to call upon when injuries and other commitments take players away. Everton are doing great in their strengthening of their team Liverpool must do the same in all departments of the team not forgetting a top class goalkeeper. We cannot rely on players who were not up to the mark last season we must improve across the board.

      • Yes I totally agree but Everton recruits aren’t even at the same level as many of our players last season apart from the New GK who we were told by past Liverpool GKs to get.. personally for me I would like to see another 6 or 7 players bought as what we need is a second top team in reserve and atleast those on the Bench need to be able to come on without weakening the team !!!
But it’s great to talk to another supporter who feels the same as me for once ? one question I would like to ask is your thought about buying in a top Striker a Striker who can get us 20 goals a season as personally I don’t see Firmino as a 20 goal a season guy but should be played just behind the striker and we shouldn’t have missed out on Lacazetta who in my eyes is younger and as strong as Aubameyang but better value and now we are battling Chelsea at £65-£70M for a 28year old but still a great Buy and if Ings is finally recovered from his serious injuries and hasn’t lost his pace like Sturridge then he will be a great addition to the Squad almost like a new Buy !!!
