Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can has been linked with a move away from the Merseyside based club following a contract dispute.
The 24-year-old has so-far failed to agree terms on a new deal with Liverpool and could end up leaving the club for free this summer.
Serie A giants Juventus have been closely linked with Emre Can as has rivals Manchester United.
However, German football expert Marc Behrenbeck has explained why Can will not leave Liverpool this month.
Behrenbeck belives Can will hold showdown talks with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp in the near future.
“I know that he hasn’t signed any contract with Juve but on the other hand Juventus are crazy about him,” Behrenbeck told Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast.
“They want him as their new midfielder but Emre and his agent told me they will be having talks with Klopp in January and February and he will not be signed in the next few weeks.
“Staying at Liverpool is another chance but it’s really important for him to be at a really good team.
“Now that Coutinho has moved to Barcelona so this is the reason why he wants to wait for a couple of weeks, maybe months, before he decides where he will play next season.”
Can played a starring role during Liverpool’s emphatic win over Manchester City on Sunday. The Reds registered a 4-3 victory to inflict Man City with their first defeat of the season.
The Germany international is expected to be back in action when Liverpool take on Swansea City in their next Premier League fixture.
