Liverpool u21 manager Michael Beale expects Samed Yesil to be much improved by the time he completes his loan spell with the Swiss side FC Luzern.
FC Luzern are managed by the former Liverpool and Germany international defender Markus Babbel.
“He will now be playing men’s football on a regular basis and I think we might see an extra 10 or 15 per cent out of Samed as a result of that,” Beale told Liverpool FC.
Yeşil has struggled to find first time appearances since he joined Liverpool from the Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen 2012 for £1 million.
The Liverpool striker has featured for all of Germany’s youth teams from Under-16 to U19 and he is available also to play for the Turkish national team.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man scored three goals in his last two appearances for Liverpool U21’s during pre-season. Yeşil has represented Germany at U21 international level but could still play for the senior Turkish national team.
