Liverpool midfielder Emre Can will miss tonight’s Merseyside derby due to an injury.
The 22-year-old sustained an ankle injury during the Red’s 4-3 victory over Borussia Dortmund earlier this month.
Can has been ruled out for at least a month meaning he may end up missing the rest of the season. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is now unable to call upon Can or his club captain Jordan Henderson.
The Germany international has since established himself as a first team regular in the Liverpool midfield and there have been calls for him to become the next captain of the club.
