Liverpool v Huddersfield – Klopp could drop out-of-form defender following disastrous display
Liverpool will be looking to return to winning ways following a disappointing 4-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham last weekend.
The clash takes place at Anfield stadium while kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
Jurgen Klopp was roundly criticised following last weekend’s loss as were his defenders. Croatia international Dejan Lovren was singled out following his numerous errors throughout the 30 minutes he played.
Klopp is expected to remove Lovren from the firing line this weekend and start Joe Gomez in his place alongside Matip.
Huddersfield meanwhile come into this weekend’s encounter in high spirits. The newly promoted side registered one of the shock results of the season following a 2-1 win over Man United.
David Wagner’s side sit 11th in the Premier League with 12 points after nine games.
