Liverpool take on Tottenham at Anfield in one of the most highly anticipated Premier League games of the weekend.
Emre Can is set to make his 84th appearance since joining the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen and is likely to start.
Can did start in the 3-2 defeat against England last week but only played the last 20 minutes of the 4-1 win against Italy so should be fit after the international break.
The Germany international of Turkish origin is likely to start in midfield alongside captain Jordan Henderson.
Can is likely to be tasked with closing down Dele Alli in what looks to be one of the key match ups going into the game and will try to dictate play from a deep-lying role.
Liverpool are currently seven points off a Champions League place but will have to rely on Manchester City, Manchester United, West Ham, Stoke and Southampton to drop points if they are to make up lost ground.
Tottenham meanwhile are just five points behind league leaders Leicester City and very much still in the title race.
