Liverpool want to beat Man United in race to sign €40m Brazil U23 international

Liverpool are hoping to beat Manchester United in the race to sign the Brazilian star forward Anderson Talisca.

The 23-year-old has earned himself a place in the Brazil national team following an impressive season for Besiktas and could make his debut against Germany this week.

According to the Turkish outlet Fotomac, both Manchester United and Liverpool are among several European clubs looking to sign Talisca.

The Brazilian star is currently on loan at Besiktas but is contracted to Benfica. The Black Eagles do however have a €21m option to buy included in the deal.

Per the source, Liverpool are keen to beat Man United in the race to secure the players signature. According to the Portugues outlet A Bola, Man United have set aside €40 million for Talisca.

Talisca has racked up an impressive 10 goals in 25 Turkish Super Lig appearances for Besiktas this season from a midfield position. The 23-year-old also registered four UEFA Champions League goals this season
