How Liverpool’s 4-3-3 would look if £21m Talisca is signed

Liverpool are reported to be plotting a £21 million move for Besiktas ace Anderson Talisca according to the Takvim newspaper.

Per the source, the Reds are prepared to activate his release clause just a season after missing out on his signature.

Talisca was unable to play in England due to not having a work permit.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman appears resigned to the fact that they could lose Talisca.

“Talisca has been in great form and is definitely an upgrade on Jose Sosa,” Orman was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.

“He is a great kid and the fans love him but we will not be able to activate his €25 million [£21 million] release clause.

“There is simply no way we can afford him at the end of the season, the following season we would but will he be available be then? I don’t know.”

Orman underlined that Besiktas would be unable to activate his release clause and stated that if Benfica’s valuation is met there is nothing they can do to prevent the transfer.

Talisca has been on great form on loan for Besiktas this season playing in a central attacking midfield role behind the striker.

Liverpool generally play a 4-3-3 formation as opposed to the Black Eagles 4-2-3-1.

Talisca would play as one of the wide players in the Reds forward three if he were to join over the summer.

In the current Liverpool setup Talisca would play in either Coutinho or Mane’s role.

Talisca would offer Jurgen Klopp options in attack. The 1.91m tall attacking midfielder is capable of being a target man, ideal for holding up play and providing an aerial threat.

Physically he is an ideal for the Premier League. For a player of his stature he is also surprisingly quick with his feet and has impressive technique.

The free-kick expert has an eye for goal, a lethal long shot and the creativity to make something out of nothing.
