Iran international rejected Leeds United move after Trabzonspor promise – Bielsa was keen on 2018 World Cup defender

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa was keen on signing Iran international Majid Hosseini during the summer transfer window according to the latest reports from Turkey.

Hosseini only made his debut for Iran back in May against Uzbekistan and attracted the attention of clubs across Europe following impressive performances against both Spain and Portugal.

According to the Turkish outlet Damga, Bielsa instructed club officials to sign Hosseini during the summer transfer window.

However, the transfer never materialised as Damga claims that Hosseini had already given his word to Trabzonspor.

Per the source, the Iran international stuck to his promise by finalising a move to Trabzonspor.

Leeds have made an impressive start to their season under Bielsa with three wins in their opening three games.
