Yildirim said live on NTV: “Manchester City have made a €5 million offer for him.”

The club president did underlined that Fenerbahce declined the offer and promised him regular playing time.

“We turned down the offer,” Yildirim said.

“We gave assurances that he will play this season, do not be surprised to see him in the starting XI as a number right.”

Guctekin rose through the youth academy at Fenerbahce and it currently a reserve side player.

It remains to be seen whether Yellow Canaries head coach will promote him to the senior team over the 2017-18 campaign.

The Fenerbahce starlet is also a regular call up to the Turkish national team setup.

Guctekin has played at every level from U15 to U19 level for the Crescent Stars.
