Man City squad revealed ahead of UEFA Champions League clash verses FC Basel

Manchester City will be looking to continue their winning run of form when they take on Swiss giants FC Basel in the UEFA Champions League.

The Citizens are coming off the back of a comfortable win in the Premier League. City registered a 5-1 victory over Leicester on Saturday afternoon.

Germany international playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has been included in the squad which travelled to Switzerland.

The 26-year-old could be rested after playing 90 minutes over the weekend with David Silva set to step in.

Youngster Aleks Zinchenko and January signing Aymeric Laporte have been added to Man City’s Champions League player list and have travelled with the rest of the squad.

Surprisingly, Leroy Sane has also been included in the squad after missing two weeks of football with an injury.

Star striker Sergio Aguero also makes the trip after scoring four goals over the weekend.
