Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has had his car destroyed by rioters in Germany according to the Bild.
Per the source, the incident has been linked to Gundogan meeting Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan in London and handing him a signed shirt with the message ‘my president’.
Sport Bild’s football chief Christian Falk broke the news on Twitter on Saturday morning.

The report does not confirm whether Gundogan’s car was wrecked because of the incident or not but does suggest it.
Gundogan and Germany national teammate Mesut Ozil both met the Turkish president at an event in London.
The duo have come under fire from sections of the German media and fanbase with Gundogan being booed in a friendly against Saudi Arabia last Friday.
Ozil missed the game due to a knee injury but is expected to recover in time for the World Cup 2018 opener against Mexico on Sunday.
Both players were born in Germany but are ethnic Turks.
