Man City star playmaker linked with £35m move to Serie A giants after they failed to land Luka Modric

Manchester City star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has been linked with another move to Europe this week.

The 27-year-old was previously linked with a move to La Liga champions Barcelona.

Meanwhile, according to the Italian outlet Tuttosport, Serie A giants Inter Milan are also interested in signing Gundogan this summer.

Per the source, Inter turned their attention towards Gundogan after failing to land Luka Modric from Real Madrid.

Tuttosport goes onto state that Inter believes the Germany international could be signed for £35 million.

Inter also believe City may be open to selling Gundogan as they have allowed the 27-year-old’s contract to run into its final two years.

However, Gundogan played an integral role in Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City team last season. Furthermore, if the former Borussia Dortmund star were to leave this summer, it would leave Man City lacking options in midfield.

Gundogan provided seven assists and scored six goals in 49 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side last season.
