Man City Starlet Targeted By Damien Comolli As Turkish Giants Ramp Up Efforts To Renew Team

Fenerbahce are interested in Manchester City youngster Bersant Celina according to reports in Turkey.

A Spor claim that the Yellow Canaries recently appointed sporting director Damien Comolli has identified Celina as one of four young talents he wants at the club.

Comolli signed a three-year deal with the Istanbul giants yesterday, in what is his first major footballing role since parting ways with Liverpool in 2012.

The sporting director has close ties to the Premier League from his time at Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool, and wants to use his network to help snap up talented youngsters from England.

Celina spent last season on loan at Ipswich scoring seven times in 35 games.

The rising star won the club’s goal of the season at the Championship outfit but was in and out of the team.

The Manchester Evening News report that he will be sold or loaned this summer.

Fenerbahce finished the league campaign as runners-up and will compete in the Champions League next season.
