Enes Ünal has stated that he has been nicknamed both Zlatan and Johnny Depp during his time at Manchester City.
The Turkish international joined City on a £2 million move over the summer transfer window but was loaned out to Belgium side Genk on a two-year deal.
“In teams, everybody has a nickname which is private to that team, which makes you feel you belong to that group,” Ünal was quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News.
“Led by Joe Hart, some players called me Zlatan. The television crew, as they are doing more visual stuff, called me ‘Johnny Depp’.”
Ünal has made three appearances for the Belgium top-tier side this season playing a total of 115 minutes.
Despite being 18-year-old Ünal already has an international cap for the senior Turkish national team and is currently on national duty with the U21 side.
Ünal is rated as one of the brightest prospects in Turkish football and currently holds the record as being the youngest player to have ever scored in the Super League aged just 16 against Galatasaray in 2013.
