Man City talks with Euro giants over sale of Jason Denayer ‘on-going’

Manchester City defender Jason Denayer is nearing an exit from the Etihad this summer.

The Belgium international defender has not featured in Pep Guardiola’s plans and spent last season out on loan with Sunderland.

The Turkish outlet Fanatik have reported that talks between Manchester City and Galatasaray over Denayer are currently on-going.

Galatasaray have already signed the defensive midfielder Fernando from Man City last month.

However, City are not keen on loaning their young star out to the Turkish Super League. The Citizens instead want Denayer to play in the Premier League for another season.

Denayer is understood to be pushing for a move back to Galatasaray. The 22-year-old spent a successful season on loan with the Lions back in 2015.

The Belgium international established himself as a firm fan favourite during his spell with the Istanbul giants.

Denayer has three years remaining on his contract with City. The 22-year-old made 24 Premier League appearances for Sunderland last season.
