Man City team news: £20m star midfielder returns to Manchester
Manchester City star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has returned to Manchester following a short break in Germany.
The 26-year-old spent the weekend in Koln visiting his family and taking a short break from rehabilitation training.
Gundogan – who joined City for £20m (BBC) last summer – has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury he sustained back in December.
The Germany international shared a photo of himself in Manchester on social media and included the following caption, “Back in town with recharged batteries. Have a great start into the week everyone!”
Man City take on Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend.
