Man City team news: Guardiola faces selection problems in defence, star striker primed for return

Manchester City will be looking to maintain their winning run this weekend when they take on Burnley FC.

The clash takes place at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday while kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 (GMT).

City has recorded ten wins in a row, scoring an impressive 36 goals in the process.

Man City team news:

Manager Pep Guardiola is facing several selection problems in defence. Club captain Vincent Kompany is a major doubt after failing to recover from a calf injury he sustained back in September.

Meanwhile summer signing Benjamin Mendy is ruled out until late April with a knee injury.

Star striker Sergio Aguero is fit to start for City this weekend. The Argentina international suffered a rib injury earlier this month after being involved in a road accident.

Aguero has however made a miraculous recovery and was on the bench for City’s win over Napoli on Tuesday.

Guardiola may opt to rotate in midfield and start Ilkay Gundogan. The Germany international has featured regularly in recent weeks after returning from a long-term knee injury.

City don’t have any suspensions to worry about going into this weekend’s Premier League clash.
