Man City team news: Guardiola set to make major changes to squad, Gundogan could start

Manchester City travel to the Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion in the Carabao Cup tonight.

Pep Guardiola’s side will play their fourth games in 11 days. The Citizens have won four games in a row, scoring 17 goals in the process. City take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend.

West Brom are without a win in their last thee games and were held to a 0-0 draw by West Ham United on Saturday.

Man City team news:

The Spanish tactician is expected to heavily rotate his squad with the likes of Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne being rested.

Germany international Ilkay Gundogan could be given his first start for City in over ten months. The 26-year-old suffered a knee injury back in December and only returned to the first-team this month.

Gundogan played 20 minutes for City during their 6-0 victory over Watford City on Saturday.

Youngsters Pablo Maffeo, Brahim Diaz and Aleix Garcia could all make an appearance for the Citizens this evening.
