Man City team news: Pep Guardiola issues stern warning to players ahead of FA Cup clash

Manchester City will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run of form when they on Bristol City.

While this looks to be an easy game on paper for the Citizens, manager Pep Guardiola has urged his players to ‘be careful’ ahead of the semi-finals clash.

Bristol City have already eliminated Watford, Stoke City and Crystal Palace in this year’s run in the Carabao Cup. The Championship side also defeated Manchester United in the quarter-finals.

The clash takes place at the Etihad Stadium while kick-off is scheduled for 19:45 (GMT).

“My guys saw them [Bristol City] and they tell me ‘be careful Pep’,” Guardiola told reporters at the pre-game press conference.

“Bristol, they beat three or four teams in the Premier League and I saw some minutes,” the Spaniard continued.

Man City come into the clash following a comfortable 4-1 win over Burnley in the Third Round of the FA Cup.

The Citizens will be without Benjamin Mendy, Gabriel Jesus, Vincent Kompany, and youngster Phil Foden for tonight’s clash due to injuries.
