Man City Team News: Pep Guardiola Receives Double Boost After Star Duo Return, Gundogan Available

Manchester City take on Leicester City on Saturday hoping to extend their winning streak at home to 12 Premier League games.

City head into the game 13 points clear of second-placed Manchester United but did draw their third successive away match against Burnley last weekend.

The Citizens have however, won 12 of 13 Premier League home games this season averaging 3.5 goal per game at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola has received a double injury boost heading into the clash as star duo David Silva and John Stones have recovered from injury after missing the draw against Burnley.

Guardiola will be without Leroy Sane (ankle), Gabriel Jesus (knee), Fabian Delph, Benjamin Mendy (both knee) and Phil Foden (ankle) due to injury.

With Silva returning it remains to be seen whether Ilkay Gundogan will keep his place and start against the Foxes.

The midfielder of Turkish origin replaced Silva following his injury against West Brom and started in his place against Burnley.

Guardiola faces a decision over whether to bring Silva back as a starter or gradually ease him back following his injury.

Gundogan has two goals and six assists in 30 appearances for City in all competitions this season.
