Man City team news: Pep Guardiola receives major injury boost ahead of FA Cup clash

Manchester City are back in action on Monday night when they take on Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup.

The fifth round clash takes place at the DW Stadium while kick-off is scheduled for 19:55 (GMT).

Pep Guardiola’s side – who have suffered just one domestic defeat this season –  are coming off the back of a 4-0 win over FC Basel in the UEFA Champions League.

Pep Guardiola may opt to rest several key names following a busy match schedule.

The Spanish tactician has received a major injury boost after star striker Gabriel Jesus returned to first-team training. Jesus has been out with a knee injury he picked up against Crystal Palace, for over a month.

Leroy Sane, Fabian Delph and David Silva are also available for selection on Monday following recent injuries.

Germany international Ilkay Gundogan is likely to be rested on Monday after playing back to back games for the Citizens.
