Man City Team News: Pep Guardiola set to make major changes to starting XI ahead of cup clash

Manchester City are back in action on Tuesday night when they take on Oxford United in the Carabao Cup.

The clash takes place at the Kassam Stadium while kick-off is scheduled for 19:45 (GMT.

It would be on of the biggest shocks in recent history if the hosts manage to defeat the reigning Premier League champions. Pep Guardiola’s side won the League Cup last season but is expected to heavily rotate his side.

Star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is expected to be rested on Tuesday after starting two games in the space of a week. The 27-year-old was the star of the show during City’s 5-0 win over Cardiff City last weekend.

The likes of  Oleksandr Zinchenko and Brahim Diaz are set to be involved while defender Danilo could make his first appearance of the season.

Teenage goalkeeper Arijanet Muric could also make his Man City debut this week.
